Healing Together

Many among us have suffered loss of a loved ones through death or divorce, addiction, depression, mental health challenges or other problems that have robbed us from the full measure of joy that God intends for us to have.  In our sanctuary, at 6 pm on the first Friday of each month, people gather together in God’s love and the fellowship of others to overcome their issues.  Light refreshments and fellowship time is followed by a talk by our guides, Mishonda and Pastor Granardo Felix anc/or a guest speaker.

Mentoring Through Christ - MTC44

Our Mission: Mentoring young men through Christ, to awaken them to their purpose in life.

Every Saturday, Pastor Felix meets with adolescent young men of the community at the America’s Youth center, at the corner of Indigo and 11 streets.

The general topic and direction of each discussion is left up to the group with gentle guidance, when needed, from Pastor Felix to keep the discussion focused. For example; One discussion was about planning their future to attain their primary goal (ie: playing with the NBA, NFL, major league baseball) without failing to build the foundation (obtaining an education/skill set) for a good (and more plausible) second option. Pastor Felix provides a positive male role model for boys who are developing from children into manhood.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Our prayer shawl ministry group at Trinity United Methodist Church, Fernandina Beach, Florida. The shawls are given to people in the community who need prayer and comfort. We have a wonderful time. Beginners are very welcome. We started this group and except for our teacher Nancy Rivera Wright, we were all beginners. All are welcome to join and learn and help sow God’s love for individuals. Bible Study and Craft at America's Youth

America's Youth Inc is located at 907 S 11th St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034.  It provides a safe place for elementary and middle school children to play and learn after school.  On Friday afternoons, members of Trinity Church teach the children a bible story and do an arts-and-crafts project.  On Saturdays, Pastor Felix mentors the more mature young men in making good decisions and planning their future.

Interfaith Dinner Network

The Hope House provides their facility for a consortium of churches to serve dinner to anyone who is hungry 5-6:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Fridays (excluding holidays). Each participating church is responsible for one or more days of the month. Trinity church members serve the meals on every 3rd Monday of each month.

Taize Service

On the first Sunday evening of each month, the Memorial Methodist Church hosts a Taize Service in the Trinity sanctuary at 6:00 PM.   A Taizé worship service involves sung and chanted prayers, meditation, a period of silence, liturgical readings, and icons. There is no preaching. The style of prayer practiced at Taizé has attracted many worshipers from around the globe and from many different denominations. The prayers consist of “short chants, repeated again and again,” according to an introduction in a Taizé songbook. “The words are sung over many times.”

Trinity Pumpkin Patch Fundraiser

Every year before Halloween, in the back yard of the church, we sell pumpkins  to the community.
