Granardo Felix, Pastor

     Pastor Granardo L. Felix has been serving within the United Methodist Church for over 24 years. He served as a musician for 12 years at Simpson Memorial UMC under Dr. Elston Ricky Perry, Pastor. In 2006 he joined New Life Community UMC under founding pastor, Dr Candise Lewis, where he also severed as a musician.


     In 2010, under Pastor Lemont Hogans Sr., Pastor Felix became the director of the music at New Life Community UMC. New Life became one of the most vital contemporary UMC’s in the NE district. His vision is to build with love through the word of God, believing that God only looks at the heart.

     Pastor Felix is a native of Jacksonville FL born in 1963 to Annie Ruth Felix Wright (Retired School Teacher). He has one sibling, Marquez Green (Business Owner). He attended public schools in Lakeland FL. He is a 1981 graduate of Lake Gibson Sr. High School. He faithfully served in the United States Army and was Honourably discharged in 1989. Being a man after God’s own heart and a believer in Christ for over 20 years, he answered the call into God’s ministry in 2014.


     An effective communicator of God’s word, Pastor Felix is widely known for his practical, and dynamic service to others, which includes his partnership with Farm Share, a non-profit food distribution organization that helps families in need all over the state of Florida. He also serves as a mentor for at-risk boys through his affiliation with America’s Youth, in Fernandina Beach FL.


     Pastor Felix loves all types of musical expressions. He also loves the Jacksonville Jaguars! “I believe when you have ways to unwind, relax and have fun, the beloved can refocus, and hear God more clearly.”


     Proverbs 17:22 says: A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Pastor Felix believes joy is mandatory in his life.


     He and his wife, Mishonda Felix (Nurse Practitioner), have been married since 2005. They have 5 children, (all boys) Brandon McNeil 20, Granardo Felix II 25, Justin Felix 23, Branden Felix 22, and Christian Felix 11.
